Dear Néstor,
Congratulations! Your organization, KW Foundation, has been named a 2012 Computerworld Honors Laureate in an especially competitive year for the prestigious program. Your case study was nominated by Instituto Nacional del Cáncer in the Health category.
To select this year’s Laureates, we relied on a panel of 22 distinguished judges -- many of them Computerworld Premier 100 IT Leader Honorees from diverse industries -- to evaluate the humanitarian benefits and measurable results of applying technology to meet a specific social need. Your case study was selected from more than 500 nominations to become one of 200 Laureates from 25 countries.

We invite you to join the 2012 Laureates, their guests and industry luminaries for a black tie Awards Ceremony and Dinner on Monday, June 4 at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington, D. C. During this gala evening, your achievements will be recognized publicly as each Laureate is presented with a medallion inscribed with the program’s mission, “A Search for New Heroes.” Additionally, five Laureates from each of the 10 Honors categories will be named as finalists for a 21st Century Achievement Award. One finalist in each category will then be named a 21st Century Achievement Award winner. These awards will be announced on site at the event.
All Laureate case studies will be inducted into the program’s International Archives and featured online at www.cwhonors.org. The June 4th issue of Computerworld magazine will also feature this year's Honors Laureates.
The Honors program, founded in 1988, recognizes organizations and individuals who have used information technology to promote and advance public welfare, benefit society and change the world for the better.
Congratulations again! We look forward to seeing you in June.
Sincere regards,
Bob Carrigan, Chairman of the Honors Program Chairmen’s Committee & CEO of IDG Communications
Michael Friedenberg, President & CEO, IDG Enterprise
